I worked in a major Florida elections office from 1974 until retirement in 2010 with just a few stops for having children. This is a bad bill and is designed to make the system non-trustworthy and non-transparent. Please don’t let this bill pass. Florida will regret it if it happens.
It’s just not a real audit. You have to have the paper ballots in front of you to do a proper audit. Did the machine correctly count the paper ballots? That can’t be done with images unless you audit the paper ballots with the images first and that would be dumb. Just leave the law alone.

Uh..DeSantis is probably behind this change. He is currently trying to run his wife for Gov. If they can keep the rigged elections in FL, he will probably use the election to get nominated for president in 2028 and possibly hi-jack the MAGA movement from the grass roots.
