I too moved from a liberal state thinking I had escaped. Corruption in our local Central Texas Republican politics have been exposed throughout 2024. I pray that the corruption continues to be exposed.
If that is the case, make sure you protect it and find how it is being controlled at the state level. Once they take over down to your sheriff they basically own your state.
I started going to commissioners meetings in my Central Texas county about 2 years ago, to request a return to paper ballots hand counted in precincts by friends & neighbors. What I know now about the guy who is running the county would start your hair on fire.
Don't worry about telling me... Start telling your neighbors and fellow county residents. Create a local Substack and get the message out. Organized and get those crooks out of office.

Here in Kentucky I think there is a hybrid …. Conservative ideals allowed locally and then the big cheat goes in for governor’s race to keep control.
